           The poem "WATER" is written by 'challapalli swarooprani' which talks of water used as a metaphor of social discrimination for generations. The poem speaks of how water has stood witness to act of operations in the name of religion , cast and creed. It faces the trial of inhuman practices that prevailed in the society. Over several generations. The poem also speaks of how water which is a natural resources has become a commodity in the contemporary market regulated world. The speaker says that water knows the generations old strife between the village and the wada. She says that untouchability will never disappear from the society just like the dampness on the wells edge never dries. She makes reference about the difference  race between samaria woman and jesu the  to highlighted racial discrimination. She further adds  that also knows sub-caste difference between leather and spoul (cobbler and weaver communities. The speaker says that the water knows the agony of the panchama who waits with his empty pot all the days until a shudra arrives. She also realize how they did many tries a circus feat ro fetch water after walking miles together. she recalls how the entire malapali village burnt to ashes. thus the poem demonstrate the disparties and the discrimination in the society using water as the journey of water from ancient to the symbol. It also traces the journey of water from ancient to the age of the symbol of purities to the age of hmeltinational market
