KEA UG-CET 2025
UGCET 2025: Your Key to Professional Courses in Karnataka. UGCET 2025 (also referred to as KCET 2025) is a term you'll come across frequently this year. The Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (UGCET) is your key to some of Karnataka's best engineering, agricultural, veterinary, pharmacy, and naturopathy colleges.
What is UGCET?
UGCET, as organized by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), is an annual state level entrance exam. It is for students seeking to study professional undergraduate courses in Karnataka. UGCET is particularly significant for students who wish to get admission into government and private colleges through the state quota.

- Release of Notification: January 2025
- Application Opening Date: February 2025
- Closing Date for Application: March 2025
- Download of Admit Card: April 2025
- UGCET Exam Dates: May 2025 (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology)
- Results Announcement: June 2025
- Counselling Begins: July 2025

Courses Offered Through UGCET
· Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech)
· BSc Agriculture / Forestry / Sericulture / Horticulture
· Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc.)
· Pharmacy (B.Pharma / D.Pharma)
· Naturopathy & Yoga (BNYS)
Eligibility Criteria
· Should have passed or be appearing for 2nd PUC / 12th grade in 2025.
· Subjects needed: PCM for engineering, PCB for medical/agriculture courses.
· Minimum 45% (general category) or 40% (SC/ST/OBC category) in concerned subjects.
· Should be a Karnataka resident or meet domicile criteria.
Exam Pattern
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
180 questions in total (60 each for Physics, Chemistry, and Math/Biology)
No negative marking.
Offline exam (OMR-based) in English & Kannada.
How to Prepare
· Stick to NCERT textbooks – particularly for Physics, Chemistry, Maths & Biology.
· Practice mock tests and previous year papers.
· Time-management with a good schedule with emphasis on weak topics.
Required Documents
Bring original documents with selfattested copies, including:
· KCET admit card & application printout
· 10th & 12th marksheets
· Study certificate (Class 1–12)
· Domicile/employment/study certificates (based on eligibility clause)
· Caste/income certificate (if applicable)
· Special category certificates (e.g., Defence, NCC)
· Appointment slip (if slot-booked online
Document Verification will Be from
The document verification for all categories will start soon. However, for special category students like PWD and Physically handicap students the medical examination is already started.
For normal category students the manual document verification is expected from the first week of JULY.
PROCESS BEFORE DOCUMENT VERIFICATION
· The study certificate and Kannada medium certificate should be signed by BEO of District officer
· All the documents must be made 3 sets and Attested by Gazette officer OR Notary should be done on each page.
DOCUMENT VERIFICATION CENTRE
· The KEA will announce the document verification Centre those Centre which is near to you can go.
*The students should go to Centre for document verification on the date of particular ranks mentioned on that day.
· The students should carry all the documents of 3 sets with original documents
